THE EARLY YEARS
Stephanie became a storyteller at a young age, creating, writing, and distributing a neighborhood comic series that was based on the antics of her neighbors. The “neighborhood comic” was firmly rooted in her tales of growing up in the suburbs of New Jersey in the 70s and 80s. No one was safe from this young writer’s pen.
She went on to the Mason Gross School of the Arts where she studied the Meisner technique of acting as an undergrad. She soon moved to New York City where she continued to write and act on the NY stages.
THE WRITER/FILMMAKER
As a budding film producer, writer, and director, her first documentary film, Ralph: Someone to Me, won the Best Directorial Debut Award at the 2010 NY International Film Festival. With this film, Stephanie founded DirtyDog Productions. While she has directed, written, produced, and edited various films, several of which are award winning works of fiction as well as documentaries, she now focuses as producer/writer on all DirtyDog projects.
DOMESTIC and INTERNATIONAL TRAVELS
For a while Stephanie relocated to Los Angeles where she continued to produce both theater and film, targeting subjects that moved her.
Relocating to the UK, Stephanie continued to produce more films, shorts, and features, both documentary and fiction, as well as creating promotional videos. She also taught film production to young adults at East Sussex College UK and earned a master’s degree in Digital Documentary from Sussex University. After working on a docuseries in the UK, The Unknown Chef, Stephanie moved back to NY.
AND NOW…
The most recent of her films is Rise of Fizzy Pop, a great success in festivals, winning several awards including Best Made in Brighton, Best Visual FX (Brighton Rocks Film Festival), and The Roger Taylor Vanguard Award for Best Original Music Soundtrack in a Featurette (Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema).
Coupled with her DirtyDog Productions, Stephanie continues to be involved with various freelance projects including indie films, documentary/fiction films, and television.
Stephanie continues to produce inspiring content that makes a difference.
